Our Story
In 2020, when the world shut down and students were forced to stay home and miss out on connection and community with each other, Liza and her husband Dave renovated their home to have a separate entrance and Liza began accepting, and teaching, students of various ages through foundational enrichment classes focusing on specific and intentional goals.
TeachMe,LB continued to evolve over the years to meet the wants and needs of the local community, and with the birth of Liza and Dave's son Micah, who has Down syndrome, the need for more space and more diverse offerings has increased.
As of December 12, 2025, TeachMe,LB is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. This transition reflects our commitment to serving our community with integrity, transparency, and purpose, and allows us to pursue charitable support in order to expand and strengthen our programs.
our vision
A community where every person belongs and is equipped to learn, move, and grow while being inspired to teach others along the way.
our mission
TeachMe,LB exists to serve families by fostering inclusion, belonging, and community through movement, play, and life skills for learners of all ages and abilities.

Why TeachMe, LB?
What's in a Name?
As a certified teacher, Liza has always had a passion for teaching, but also learning. When deciding on a business name, Liza wanted to be able to fill in the blank "Teach me _____" with a variety of topics she could teach, but also that she could learn while someone else teaches. Liza grew up as 'Liza B' (Baumgartner) and loves that it rhymes. And that's how our organization was named!
